2 ways to cook your Potatoes!


Hassleback Potato 
Servings: 4
Cooking Time: 60-70 mins 

INGREDIENTS
1 Kg large potatoes
4 tbsp melted butter or olive oil
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Pepper
Minced fresh herbs, spices, grated cheese, bread crumbs, and bacon bits


INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat the oven to 220°C. 
2. Wash the potatoes and pat them dry. After drying, you may choose to peel the skins off or keep it. 
3. Cut parallel slits into each potato, stopping just before you cut through so that the slices stay connected at the bottom of the potato. 
4. Arrange the potatoes in a baking dish. Brush the potatoes all over with the butter or olive oil. 
5. Season the potatoes with salt and pepper.
6. Bake the potatoes for 30 minutes. At this point, the layers will start separating. 7. You can nudge the layers apart if they're still sticking together.
8. Bake until the potatoes are crispy on the edges and easily pierced in the middles with a paring knife, Sprinkle the minced herbs, cheese, bread crumbs and bacon bits on top of the potatoes 5-10 minutes before the end of cooking. 
 
 
Roasted Potatoes 
Servings: 4
Cooking time: 1 hr 
 
INGREDIENTS: 
500g of Baby potatoes
¼ cup olive oil 
1 tsp Salt 
1 tsp ground pepper
2 tbsp minced garlic 
2 tbsp minced fresh parsley (optional)
 
INSTRUCTIONS: 
 
1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees C 
2. Cut the potatoes in half and place in a bowl with the olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic.
3. Toss the potatoes until well coated. 
4. Put the potatoes in a baking dish and spread it out. 
5. Roast for 45mins- 1 hour until browned or crisp. 
6. Once cooking is done, remove the potatoes from the oven and toss with parsley and some season to taste.
